Member: 2110377 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 5 | Hey, i tried this with IOS8.3 beta 1 this morning. Problem was: History of iPhone unknown, iPhone started showing the Apple for a few seconds and then black screen with backlight on. Trying to recover the iPhone ended always in blue screen and error 9 already at the beginning of the process no matter if i tried DFU or normal restore. With IOS 8.3 beta 1 in DFU mode the restore finished successfully. Then I restored back to 8.1.3 in DFU and now the phone works. Thanks a lot. Regards, Torsten |

Member: 1770824 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 12 | Thats ridiculous! I had the same problem, too: The iPhone 5s showed the Apple Logo several seconds and then the screen became black with the Backlight on, wehre normally should be the iTunes Logo indicating that its in Recovery Mode. Tried... ...changing Dock-Flex ...restore with just the Board and Battery connected ...latest signed iOS in DFU-Mode ...changing U2 All Restores failed with Error 9 (0% on Progress Bar, then Blue Screen) I restored with the 8.3 Beta 2 and all works. I think there occured a failure at a critical step while flashing the Firmware. But why does the Beta Version can be flashed successful? How does this come??? Back to Topic: If Your Device doesnt start when connecting the data cable, or doesnt indicate correct Charging-State / Charge of the battery, You should try replacing Tristar-IC on Your Phone. |
