iPhone 7 series EMI heat shields

These seem to be on pretty good and don’t easily come off like previous iPhones.

What can I use to cut them off where they’re soldered?

Don’t want to risk CPU damage by using heat

Have you tried going full-bore with your hot air (no nozzle)? that applies more heat on a wider area making it easier to get an even distribution.

Yes but with the 7 series it causes solder balls to squeeze out everywhere from underfill. Have you tried on a 7 yet?
