Iphone 5s short on pp vcc main.


Hello
I received an iphone 5s with shorted vcc main line. Device has no waterdamage. Q4 getting hot. I removed all caps on this line one by one. Removed q4, u3 display pmu and at last pm ic. But short is still there. What do u think i shoud check to gond shorted component.

same problem here. No Waterdamage still short vcc main, feels like i took half the board apart without finding the short.

I found the short. It was the Wifi Module shorted VCC_Main line. To bad i lifted half the pads. I need a cnc maschine

Thanks for sharing. It is too late i gave it back to customer. I think u need another hot air station. It is important to use big noozle and high airflow for big ics. I never used a cnc. i not know if it is really useful why shoud i damage the ic. Anyway good luck with soldering back all removed components.
