Member: 2416810 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Hi, you seem to have a lot of knowledge about 5s, please help me. I have an iPhone 5s. Its battery was replaced, one day it turned off and got stuck at apple logo. I tries restoring with DFU mode, but once it restarts it wont get detected and itunes would show 'waiting for iphone' and then give 'error 4005' meawhile iphone stays stuck at apple logo and logic board area becomes hot. I have tried restoring without LCD and sensor, but in vain. I NEED HELP. Any would be appriciated. |

Member: 2393796 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 10 | maybe battery ways broken? maybe shorted component? hard to say what problem is exactly because its been dropped so something broken or loose, check components under shield. check vcc main as this seems like its not getting power from battery properly it gets a little then shorts or the connection lost. |

Member: 1380602 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | replace u2 same thing. jump q2 same thing. Check all capasitors to pp1v8 line they are OK. Remove R1 - short is from side of cpu. Check with dc station (at 1v shows 2.4A) does something will heat and around pin u1 of cpu the temperature is with 4 graduces more than everywhere. So if i try to get down cpu and heat it over 260 degree will destroy it. But black mask..is horrible...and..its not good...will try tomorrow to reball it ans post results. |

Member: 2289832 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 48 | Temperature of cpu is always more than everywhere. I would first check all other component on pp1v8 line. Solder a wire on pp1v8 line and give less than 1v from dcps check if cpu getting hot if not, short is somewhere else. |

Member: 1380602 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | Ok. As i say 1v at pp1v8 with 2.4A consumation and only cpu is heating. Everywhere temperature is around 29-30C. In area of cpu where is pin u1 temperature is 34-35C. Nothing more is hot. Actually this is not hot 34C but its the only place where is warmer then everywhere... |

Member: 1380602 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | without power on. see first post. Whatever...after i took down cpu and short is gone. Maybe the good thing is that at 1v8 line on the cpu( u1 pin) and ground nothing short. So just rebal cpu put it on its place put nand and u2 and see what happens. |
