the board was clean and no indication of repair and also not shorted reading RPS 0.07 to 0.08
Replace : U1700 (U2) failed
Replace : U1401 (Tristar ic) Failed
Replace : U1400 failed

in this case indication of 0.07 to 0.08 reading on power supply 80 % U2 or U1700 cause of the problem base on my experience so i decided to change U1700 but im not lucky to do it the same also by another ic i've been remove

so i decided to remove nand ic and reball and tesing again but again ? im not luckystill (waiting for iphone ) at end after removing the usb cable from phone its show error 4005

so i proceed to program the nand ic and write under laying data and restore back up data

after programming and restore on itunes im lucky and there is progress

very useful post.

I recently purchased WL64 bit Nand programmer.

I am a bit confused regarding formatting the NAND chip.

There is only backup and program option but i dont know if i can format the chip.

And a lot of times i am unable to program 5s Nands it says that it doesnt has kernel in it and something like that.

Can you please help me regarding this wl product.

Thanks.

Hi all
thanks for this useful post
I have an iPhone 6 plus with the same problem. not detected at all by the computer. but when I force DFU mode, it boots up into DFU but when I start to restaure, it disconnects and never come back. It turned out to be the NAND. I removed it, and tried to read it with IP-BOX but it was like erased !! thats what IP-BOX said
I re write the data from default values, but with the correct serial number.
Now the phone is detected normally when plugged but it fails the restore with error 2005
any idea ?

Humm, this makes "IP Box 2" look real bad since I have two dead ipad air 2 because of this. If when I get the new Nands from China (with sn) then if the ipads successfully get restored I'm trashing IP Box 2 "for real" and not buying anything from them anymore not matter how cheap they are.

I have used IP Box 2 successfully with old iphone and ipad but no luck with new, I was able to restore an ipad mini 4 just because I wrote the sn on top of the already programmed Nand without formatting.

Why Blame the box when it can potentially be you who's not patient enough to actually figure out how it works and you want to give up and trash it
