IPhone 6S+ hangs at 30ma

Originally short on vcc_main, traced to a bad pmic so I replaced it.

No more short on vcc_main but when power button pressed bench supply goes to 30ma and hangs never starts booting

I can't find the CPU reset line in schematics to test. Is it called something else in the 6s series?

I will check for you tomorrow, but I had this issue before and I think the pmic was the reason. I know you replaced it, but try reball or replace another one again

Funny you say that I just reflowed and same issue. The pmic in 6s are a pain to align perfectly. The pins are so close together. This is also the 2nd one I tried. First pmic was giving short too like original

Ok so not pmic, on schematic page 39, there is AP to BB/wlan/bt/Sh connections. Test voltages on these lines. Warning there are many netnames!

Sorry page 40, these are ap voltages, AP is master of all lines, so if some value is low or no value, you will know.

Will check. What does AP stand for? Also did you find what the reset lines are?

All the voltages from u2000 on page 15 of schematics are present. With the exception of PP_GPU_SRAM but I think that'd only be present when the phone boots an image no?

Should iTunes detect it currently? Because I have a USB amperage detector and it's showing 0 amps drawn.

How could I force it into DFU without a home button? Screen doesn't have one

Update: Noticed Tristar u2 chip was missing. Board must have had work done before.

Installed one thinking there's a good chance but still didn't boot, same issue.

Going to give back to customer
