iphone 6s light sensor problem

Hi,

i Have here about 15 front camera flex cables from multiple suppliers, but strange enough with non of them the light sensor is working. This is real, I tested a lot.

The ones with the pink mirror (light sensor) don't work, only the ones with a yellow mirror (like the original)

I did contact multiple suppliers but nobody knows or is interested in it, I searched the internet but found nothing.

There is always a chance of breaking the proximity sensor while removing the flex cable out of the bracket. Why i can't find anything about it?
Why nobody noticed this,

am I wrong? Does anyone have front camera flex cables with a working light sensor?

really,

am i the only one?

Did somebody replace the iPhone 6S front camera flex cable and check the auto brightness function?

For months i am searching for a working flex cable, i spent hours on it with more than 30 flex cables form more than 10 suppliers, tested on different phones, but it's not working, when putting the auto brightness slider on it moves a bit before the center and stays there.

Please can somebody confirm/check this? It's driving me crazy.

(at this time there are also flexcables with yellow light sensors, but also not working in my opinion)

Hi jan, really thanks for your reply

When I read your message, i replaced the test flex cable with an original (with broken prox sensor) and it worked perfect.

Do you check the auto brightness function when a flex cable is installed?

yes but proximity sensor is only for turn off display during the calls...the auto brightness i check all the time after i change display...usually problems appears with proximity sensor because of bad quality of glass from display.....try to make the glass a little bit darker...

Ok, thanks, but the proximity is not the problem, and night shift is off,

I can change to the original front camera flex and auto brightness is working, change it to one of my another flex cables and it is not sliding anymore and back to original it's working and also on different original screens.

I will keep ordering them by different suppliers, but there is already a lot of difference between my ordered cables.

Thanks jan, if there is somebody else, please share your experience

I can confirm the issue. Wanted to replace the front flex due to the front camera being affected from broken screen.
- I have 5 flex cables from different vendors here. Everything works on them except for the light sensor
- When plugging in back the original flex (the one with the bad front camera) the light sensor works again.

Did you ever find a solution to this issue?

Yes, I did.
I found a supplier with full original (disassembled) flex cables.
That solved my problem.
