iPhone 6s PP_CPU / PP_GPU short

TP_1120, TP_1100 both test points shorted to ground.

Phone is starting but restarts every 2 min.

I think problem is common i have seen this short on 3x 6s.

Any possible shorted capacitors?

- no water damage -

"Beep" doesn't mean short circuit because many multimeters starts the "beep" at 40-70ohms. Short circuit means 0-5 ohms

Remove the one of the caps and give direct current between 2v to 4v and see whats heats up. Use freez spray or thermal camera.

Did you ever use thermal camera or you suppose that it will work?

Smile I find solution now and iphone work correctly now

TP_1120, TP_1100 both test points shorted to ground.
when disconnect lcd and battery connector compeletly
And connect lcd connector and then battery connector
Connect lightning cable
Then apple logo some tomes shown in lcd for few secounds and gone backlight
Yes no backlight!!!
I find solution
GPU SOLDERS PROBLEM!!!
Push strongly left side of CPU with finger to connect pins under the gpu to board
Yes backlight come back and device worked correctly until you push cpu to the board
So must use the brackets that pushe cpu to the board
It is silmpest way to solve this problem
Don't use heating cpu to repair GPU solders pins
May short circuit other pins under cpu

The capacitors on the 3rd pic, the symbol is different, I think they are different, they also beep on two of the the iPad Air 2 I'm working on.

in my situation the iPad will stay in DFU mode and with not switch to restore so it stays in "waiting for ipad" in iTunes.

The iPad had a short cap and didn't turn on, then I found the short and replaced the cap, now it will be detected when plug-n to usb by iTunes, but no restore

Hope that helps.
