Member: 2848282 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | iPhone 7 good battery shows 1%, restarts randomly So the battery level will start out showing one percent but usually jumps up to its actual level and then before too long the phone restarts. I purchased this phone months ago with a cracked screen for refurbishing and I have been so busy starting a small phone repair business I haven't been able to do it until recently. I have an app called Battery Health that shows the wear on the battery. I noticed when I received the phone that the app showed the battery was 95% worn. I replaced the screen and battery with a new OEM battery recently and the app still showed the battery to be 95% worn. So I tried several more good batteries and they all showed 95% wear except one showed 0% wear when installed but after restarting the phone the battery showed 95% wear again. I am at a loss. I have inspected the battery connector and around it under the microscope and everything seems fine. The phone has a couple small dents or gouges from being dropped on the lower right edge by the last speaker holes. There are no signs of water damage. I have tried restoring the phone several times and it always comes up error 5. Also the phone doesn't restart if it is powered by my DC power supply. If I boot it up with the power supply it sometimes restarts before it finishes booting but if it makes it all the way through boot then is functions as it should. Any help troubleshooting this would be much appreciated. Thanks! |
