Hello,

I'm not sure what you're describing, have you tried powering the phone from a power supply? You need to if you're going to troubleshoot this.

Connect your power supply

Write down the current your power supply will draw before you boot the phone and after you press the power button.

There is no any reason to replace battery and charging flex without test fist if working properly.

According to schematics you can easily check TP0527 or TP0521 for confirm if dock flex it OK or not.

If dock flex its OK go to the next steps, testing HYDRA and TIGRIS charger.

1. Check PP_VAR_USB_RVP for 5v (C6311) to check power supply of HYDRA
2. Check PP_VBUS1_E75 for 5v (C3301) to check power supply of TIGRIS

After this steps you have to check outputs of those chips, also MOSFET Q3350.

I have tested with dust remover and the component damaged is Q3350, this component is the first in get warm when I connect the power supply cable.

C3353, C3350, C3351 and C3352 not present voltage.

If Q3350 getting hot, probably you have VDD_MAIN short to ground.

You need to remove it, so you can drop 5v to the shorted line and you will easily find the shorted component. After your job done you have just to jump it. No need to put it back.

Sorry for the lame question ... I have got a 8 plus with short on VDD MAIN. Tried finding where the short is - impossible. Tried your technique with putting 5v on the VDD MAIN - could not figure out anything
What am I looking for ? A component that is getting hot, right ?

C6311 is 5V correct
C3301 is 5v correct
but MOSFET Q3350 output is around 1.5V not charging and no detect USB cable.
changed battery, usb flex
wireless is working.

Seems like HYDRA issue. You can check outputs of chip, or just replace.
