| iPhone Battery connector Problem - Scrap?? Hi Guys, I received the iPhone 4 below saying the battery terminal was there but not connected. Was worse than that. they had tried to solder wires in instead of a new connector. Once I de-soldered the wires the extent of the damage was revealed - it looks like they have scratched away at the board to find some contact points and shorted out pins 2 and 4 to gnd.. Does this look like scrap? or is there a possibility of fix?? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks |

Thanks for that I normally use these points to solder in some small wires when the pads are removed. but this looks like he had scratched down into the board and gone down a lot further than the pads would be. As they are shorting and some layers of the board arent there, Im just wondering how to get around this. Would scratching the solder residue away and then just using the contact points in the picture work do you think? Thanks | |
