iPhone 7, charging problem. As soon as the original cable is connected, message is displayed "This Accessory May Not Be Supported". On the screen it is visible that it starts charging but it does not charge after that.

I have tried several other cables, result stays the same.

Help anyone?

It sounds like USB restricted mode is enabled. Look for USB accessories option in your settings, it might be in the security settings, and turn it on. I think that should fix your issue.

If it's still an issue, make sure you try with a genuine apple lightning cable or at the very least a MFI certified cable. 90% of the cables you find these days are all 6 pin fake garbage.

Once you are certain that you have ruled out any possibility of it being the cable itself, try using a different usb port on the computer, if that doesnt work, try using a different computer. If all of those fail, get yourself some IPA (90% or higher) and apply a little bit to a cotton swab or a toothpick and gently clean out the lightning port (this actually should be done first and should be done first and foremost when you suspect a communication/cabling issue).

I have IPhone 5 dead.
I tested the PP_BATT_VCC and PP_VCC_MAIN and they aren't shorted to ground. But while inspecting the board i found the following:
1- line HS3_CONN is shorted to ground.
2- Q8's Drain and Source are shorted.
Can any line of those stop the phone from charging and booting

Could not search because search is not working.

iPhone 7 mic stopped working after software update and in voice memo says 'no recording device found'. Phone is not in warranty. What can be done to repair this and why apple Care is not repairing it for me since it totally looks like something that they have messed up !
