Hi,

I have an iPhone 4, this one was dropped in water.

The WiFi was grayed out until then, I disassembled the device and cleaned with a contact cleaner, but nothing changed...

So I dig deeper and removed some of the metal blocs that protects the motherboard, and I came across a short circuit spot (or smt like that).

And this one corresponds to this component which is likely a capacitor.

And I'm wondering if it's possible to repair it, and if it's the cause of the greyed wifi.

I can't post images, can anyone guide me?

It can be also camera died try replace the camera and see if that fixes for you

There might me a resistor damaged near lcd flex check there clean the board and give it a go

I fixed the issue by linking the upper contact of the C141_RF (near to the WiFi chipset) to the VCC contact of the battery.

Could it be a faulty dock or will it be the U2 IC?

Iphone works with battery that is charged from another phone.
