Member: 1817612 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 13 | This because there is a short on the motherboard. The battery protection circuit on the battery pack will limit or disconnect the battery if a high current load is encountered. Troubleshoot this problem with an external current limited supply while feeling both sides of the motherboard for heat being dissipated by the shorted component. If no parts are getting hot, look for a shot or solider bridge throughout the board using microscope. Chances are it is a shorted cap., but note you should remove all shields to check for component heating and for other shorts on the board. You must use a high quality scope or you are likely not be successful completing this repair. |

Member: 2400377 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Iphone 6 Touch Screen and Power Issue I have bought a couple of broken iphone 6's and am trying to make a good one. I replaced the logic board in an icloud locked one (with matching home button) and installed a replacement screen. It came on (with the previous owners home screen) and the touch screen worked, I didn't know the pass code, so I did a DFU reset and now no touch screen response at all, and the power is switching off after about 5 minutes of none use and the only way I can get it back on is to do a power/Home reset. Any thoughts? |
