Member: 1524789 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | iPhone 6 SIM Issue "Searching..." & "No Service" Hello, I'm having a strange issue with service on an iPhone 6. I purchased phone for repair & resale. It had a badly damaged screen/LCD, so was dropped. After replacing screen & testing phone, I found that MOST of the time it will not find service...will display either "Searching" or "No Service". I've swapped 3 to 4 sims out several times. Most of the time it shows "No service", but only 2 of the 4 sims actually have service. Once it finds the service, it stays locked on to it till I disconnect the battery. I noticed in the settings under Airplane mode...when it finds service the "Carrier" line will pop up for a few seconds, go away for a few seconds, show again a 2nd time, then go away & the sim will show service. When it's not working...the "Carrier" line is never displayed. I've tried the following: Cycling Airplane mode several times, resetting Network settings several times, made sure antenna next to batt connector is properly connected, Date & Time setting, hard reset a few times, & did a factory reset. Nothing works. What component or circuit area would likely cause random service like this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
