Try using a DC POWER SUPPLY, much better in isolating shorts. Check capacitors around U201 and PMU. Touch components suspected for excessive heat during short condition using DC power supply.

I`m having trouble with a water damaged iPhone 4S, only thing happening when connected to USB is that the power IC is getting hot, no iTunes connection or whatever alive on the PC or iPhone.

Any ideas on what to do?

Hi i have a problem with this phone after i change the battery apn 616-0434 with new one with apn 616-0435, after i put the new battery the phone starting ok but with white screen and sounds when i press home button, when i try to recharge battery the phone is not charging not recognaized by pc/itunes and no make sound when i insert the charger or usb to pc, i have a multimeter digital 7 functions, how can i test the dock connector port for right voltages to motherboard? I think the dock conector is broken, any instruction to test only the dock conector without motherboard? Thanks

Do You chacked if the imei is not blocked?
1) Insert a working sim in your iPhone
2) Go to "SETTING"
3) Select "Carrier"
4) see if the carrier information is available, if you can see the carrier and select it your problem isent hardware but a blocked Imei!
If you not found any network then your problem is hardwere, then you will try to change :
1) antenna flex
2) Blue coil
3) Gsm module.

Your problem is in Baseband, The error 1, 21 etc are baseband error, reball Baseband IC

Hey there,

I recently dropped my iphone 5 and since then I am not able to unlock my phone. After dropping the phone it came up with a temperature warning on the screen saying the phone needed to cool down. After restarting it multiple times the phone is able to recieve notifications which I can view from the lock screen and accept phone calls. When I try to unlock the phone it will let me enter the passcode but wont let me into the phone itself. I have tried connecting the phone to my computer but it wont stay conncected long enough for me to do anything. I put the phone into recovery mode and tried restoring it to no avail. I am out of warranty and a repair would set me back $260. I have an upgrade in exactly 3 months so I dont want to drop that kind of money on a phone I wont be using shortly. My prediction is that when I dropped the phone it either damaged the sensor that registers the temperature or knocked it loose. What are your thoughts on this problem?

then try to update via file but its gave error 53.
already change the host file and every thing. but same problem.
already try with 8.0 and 8.02 but same problem. any solution..
