iPod classic 5th 30GB icon always charged - GSM-Forum

Hi all,

I know this is an old device but I'm really trying to fix it. The ipod works almost fine except for the problem with the battery/loading. The problem I have is that the battery icon always shows full and looks like the battery drains really fast. I need to load it externally. Any idea of what is going wrong?

Any help on this? I check the board for some damaged caps but looks good.

Well it would help if you told everyone what you had tried already.
The obvious thing would be to try a new battery
