ipod touch classic 30gb no sound, on dock and on jack too.

i tired rehot the resistors, but not good.



anybody idea?

this is an ipod video 5th gen not ipod classic.
This can be fixed,.

Hi, i have the same ipod, and i ear "tac-tac-tac" when he want boot, but no boot.
i thinks it's the internal drive storage who's dead.
what do u think ?

If you here that sound yes it is the hard drive
The only part that makes sounds is the hard drive mechanical part

It's very easy to change the hard drive, a bit tricky to open the pod but after that it's easy. You will find many hard drives on the internet but you have to check if the model supports the hard drive you want to buy. Don't remember where to check I suppose the capacity is the problem. Probably the sellers will know better

Yes, and i have an other ipod classic, when i connector on charge, he say "connect to itune ...." strange no
he shutdown ...
cause i repair iphone but not ipod.

This sounds like battery problem. Like iPhone 3GS when you had wrong battery on it.
