Member: 2366026 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | liklihood of sucess repairing cellular failure I'm pretty proficient with electronics, though my aging eyes and less than steady hands make working on tiny things a pain. But right now I'm trying to get a feel for whether it would even be worth my trying to replace the cellular antenna, and the likelihood that this will fix the cellular problem. It seems I can probably get another iphone4 in better shape from e-bay for around $80 if I'm patient, and a new cellular antenna assembly is only about $8. But if the cellular antenna contains no active electronics (if its just an antenna) then I'm skeptical this will even help. What do you folks recommend? And is there any diagnostic or other tests I could do to see if some other flaw in the radio circuit itself might be detected? |
