Member: 2769498 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | My first iPhone repair :D I‘ve been trying to repair this water damaged iPhone SE. It had bo service and touch problems. I removed the shields and cleaned it. The touch problems were gone and the service reappeared for a moment. I changed the sim and suddenly it didn’t work anymore. I realized that the IMEI wasn’t displayed in the info section anymore along with most of the other numbers. I figured it was the baseband IC that lost connection , so I put some flux around the it and applied the hear gun to it. Unfortunately I didn’t cover the battery connector. When I tried to start the phone again it showed the apple logo and then went dead. Now it doesn’t turn on anymore. I wrecked the battery pretty well, when I tried to remove it, but I don’t think that this is the problem. I would exchange it if I can make the phone resurrect. Question is what I could have destroyed. The connectors look okay under the magnifying glass. Is there some IC related to the power management that I could have fried? Don’t know what to try now, but heat it up again. Any advice appreciated! Cheers |
