We are a repair shop as well. Compass IC was the problem here also. Here is the proper way to diagnose this error.

When confronted with this error, first, turn on phone without the front camera cable connected at all. If phone boots fine, replace cable. If phone does not boot still, then chances are that compass IC is bad. Our customers upon close inspection has a tiny chip out of the corner. I desoldered it and removed it all together, and it fixed it.

That's all we have ran into so far, all problems fixed with this error to date using these solutions.

Check resistors. Got the same error with waterdamaged phone.
After resoldering the resistors, error is gone.

its camera flex problem , i also had an iphone 5c with nand error , try to put something on the camera flex to isolate it , becouse flex is touching the connector when u put the screen back and gives errors in reading. u can try this to see if it is front camera flex problem before u buy and change with a new one.
