Member: 2380574 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Necessary Parts? So i was looking at a lot of the tutorials online about replacing the screen on an iPhone 5, and a lot of them show the brackets that cover things like the battery cable and the screen flex cables. I was wondering, are these necessary, or can i just stick some foam on top of the plug part to stop them shorting against everything? (the old owner of the phone never sent the brackets to me with it.) Again, sorry if this doesn't make sense, and thanks for bearing with me! Chris. |

I've got a bunch of 1/8" thick foam i can stack up so the screen presses against them to keep them in place if that'd help instead. Would this be something i could do as a temporary fix, or even a permanent thing? | |
