Member: 2380574 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Need help identifying cables! So i just got an iPhone 5 on eBay that didn't have a screen, and got a screen for it. I tried fitting the screen but it didn't work, so i've assumed the screen is either faulty or i'm doing something wrong. I know that there are the 3 Flex cables (Front camera, LCD and Digitizer) but on this screen there is a 4th. it's the one on the left side (small square thing) that's attached to the middle flex cable. on all the other models of screen, it looks completely blank, but on mine when i turn it around (so i'm looking at the non-screen side) it has some small metal strips on it. Not sure if this is relevant to anything in the phone, but it hasn't worked. I also poked it with a spudger, and the screen lit up for a second, and then went off. Where is this cable supposed to go? on all the other screens online, it looks like it's supposed to be folded or covered by a piece of black tape. Thanks for the help, and sorry if none of this makes sense! Chris. |

Thanks for the help! I'll try and add pictures once my post-count is higher, just in-case other people have the same problem and need to identify the same thing. Last edited by cc321488; 04-18-2015 at 16:28. | |
