A resistor has gone, this make the phone not read as a phone so you have no software available, I don't know where resistor is but if you find let me know please

I have the same issue, iphone 6 looks brand new and stuck in dfu mode. no water damage. I get message on itunes "software unavailable for this iphone" and i have latest itunes. I try on multiple computer same issue.

Did you find out which resistor or IC chip is responsible for connecting with itunes?
Some people say U2 chip some people say GPIO resistors. Any help would be appriciated.

Hi!
Did anybody find the solution!
I also have a very slight water damaged iPhone 6 (only top of the phone has small trace of water) I have cleaned and when i plug in to my laptop, iTunes detect him in DFU mode and when I try to restore - "software for this iphone is not currently available."
Thank you!
