Member: 1593289 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Touch Screen iPhone6 replace thicker than original I have an iPhone 6. Days ago I broke the screen. Bought a new replacment, digitizer + screen. I had to move home button, proximity sensor, earpiece and front camera from old screen to new one. Followed some video tutorials and did it. I reassamble everything, and all works as expected. So far so good. But new case, does not fit perfectly, I'll try to explain: Around all the edge of the phone, new case protrudes around 0,5 or 1 milimeter. Just on top of volume buttons, it protrudes almost 2 milimeters, wich causes that you can see the light of the screen through that point. Original case has two holes in the same point, but I think they are thickest in the replace. Anyone has replaced the screen, and new one fits perfect? I bough mine from a eBay seller in the UK, but I assume that all those replacements parts come from the same company. So, could that be my fault, or could that be a problem on the design of the case? Thanks in advance Last edited by theevil5; 07-16-2015 at 10:51. Reason: say thanks! |

Member: 2394174 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | This issue is probably caused by the frame adhered to the screen. The high copy frame is about 0.5mm higher than the original frame which will cause the screen looks thicker than the orignal one. Here I found a video and a blog explaining this issue: Reasons And Solutions To The iPhone 6 Frame Came Off From LCD Assembly https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2A3bbR_g_vc |
