Member: 777576 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 32 | you want to use water, to clean the board from water?!?!? you wanted to say something different, i hope... about 10-15 minutes should be more then enought, meanwhile you also can take the board out and clean it with tooth brush or something similar, then put it back again. this cleaning can help you to get rid of some dirt, left from water, but you can not make the board "new" with it, especially if the board haven't been cleaned up right after it got contact with fluids. as much sooner you clean the board, that much bigger is the chance that the alcohol (or similar) cleaning will help you to rescue the board, BEFORE the water (or whatever) made the damage to the board, which you can not repair later... |

Only alcohol will not work when you have soft drink damage or other sugar stuff on the board. Use compressed air to clean board or use your hot air gun on low temperture and high air flow to clean the water away under ic's Just turn the ultra sonic bath on for a few runs of 3min is enough. After the bath, you should check for bad connections and shorted caps. |
