What equipment to use?

Hi
what kind of glue removing tool do you use ?
I did not find any glue removing tool that would be strong enough ( not being bent), yet thin enough? An example removing glue around of power IC on Iphone 7
Can you post your tips?
Thanks

Hi,

Qianli ToolPlus 007 and 008 plus low temp hot air just to soften the glue and you’ll be just fine. [emoji106]

I use more or less the same tool like Qianli ToolPlus 007 but it is not thin enough so that I can remove properly glue around power IC in Iphone 7 model.
Are you sure that Qianli ToolPlus 007 is thin enough ?Thanks

I think so. Check their products at unionrepair, and youtube to see tools working.

Best regards

But tool is not that so expensive that you can’t buy it for testing and see if it fits your needs. Around 10$ for each set.

any tools can do s long as your an experienced tech..even the cheapest pry tool does the job..just need to be careful in any job that you do..combination of hotairs air and heat level also is needed for this to work

Can't agree more. I have been a fan of REWA Youtube Channel and I can always watch their masters using the easiest tool to complete the hardest repair work in their video.

Agreed. If the tool is not thin enough you can remove glue( also called black underfill) between IC and other parts. I used the tool like Qianli ToolPlus 007 . It worked well until I came accross Iphone 7 where I needed to desolder power IC (U1801). The gap between IC and other parts( on one side) was very thin for the tool I used.
