Desire S - no GPS after resurrection

This is the second one that lost the GPS after boot repair. Resurrection is performed at all levels (all options ticked). OS manage the GPS without any error, but found no satellites at all. Tried any radio and some fixes - unsuccessful.

Any idea? Maybe reflashing some partitions from working phone? I didn't find a dump to try.

Anybody, ideas? Or dump from fully working phone?

Is there anyone with same issue or just me and my bad luck (twice) ?

Hi,
There could be two reasons for non working GPS.
- Antenna not assembled
- Wrong driver loaded
Since GPS is detected and handled, it's probably antenna problem. Though, it could be related to driver too, in this case You should check HW revision sticker and WLAN partition at 0x10000 offset. First four numbers are HW revision, it's from where OS knows which driver to load.

Where to find that sticker? On chip, or any label, because the phone came w/o its label...?

If the values are different, I need to correct that in WLAN partition at 0x10000 offset, am I right?

Thanks for the replay!

Thats usually small green sticker, mostly on or around usb connector.
If its removed, there still should be date or production printed on PCB.
This could help too, but You'll need to get HW revision ID from same date phone.

For some reason eMMC Partition Table Plugin does not read particular partitions when phone connected by DCC Loader USB Interface, am I wrong or missing something?

OK, I managed to change these 4 digits in WLAN partition at 0x10000 offset, but nothing happens with GPS - same situation. When looked closely in WLAN partition I found another instance of same value at 0x11070 offset. Did I need to change that too?

OK, the P-sensor also does not work properly. When make external call it offs the LCD every time without reason and if another side cancel or close (if answered), then the LCD can't turn on with power switch. Only reinserting the battery or connecting to USB brings it back. Could this be related to WLAN partition change and GPS issue?
