Battery is not needed; connection can be established even with the main board detached. To power the board it’s most convenient to use the USB Data Cable. To resurrect Samsung S3310 do this: Ø Solder JTAG cable to S3310 JTAG pads; Ø Connect USB cable to phone and PC; Ø Make sure Samsung S3310 is selected in the list of models Ø Click Resurrect button; Ø Wait few seconds until software signals a successful operation completion; Ø Disconnect USB cable, de-solder JTAG wires; Now phone is in bootable condition, that is, even if it does not start up normally, you can flash it using original Samsung downloader software to restore it to the working state. To enter download mode: v Disconnect PC cable; v Insert battery; v Hold both Volume Down (upper left side with up/down keys, the down key) and keypad key “9” and press Power-On. Screen lights up with BOOT LOADER text. Or just power off your phone and start Samsung downloader software which will initiate BOOT LOADER mode by itself. To re-flash it we used SGT-S3310_BCM213x1_Downloader_v0.88(C).exe flasher. For flashing Samsung combo USB+UART cable is needed. Follow instructions in the flasher window to re-flash your phone. By checking options “By UART” or “By USB” you only select interface over which to perform flashing. Whatever settings, the initial connection with phone is done over UART. Most common errors: ü Resurrector reports CRC Error: TCK Frequency is too high, try setting lower values. |
