i9000m dump failing...please help

I am trying to make a full dump from an i9000m. I have two jtag jigs and a homemade jig and all three when connected give me this message.

Open serial port...OK
Connecting to the RIFF Box...OK
Firmware Version: 1.32, JTAG Manager Version: 1.43
Selected Resurrector: [Samsung I9000 V1.00]

Connecting to the dead body...
ERROR: Set I/O Voltage to 2.80V failed. Real reading is 2.46V

Now I know what many will say, check connection and I have used these jigs in the past to resurrect with no problem. Connection is good but for some reason I cannot read dump.

I am running XP, service pack 3 with new RIFF drivers. I choose the DCC Read/Write tab and choose Samsung galaxy i9000with JTAG TCK set to 8 mhz.
Also I choose Auto FullFlash Size and set address 0x0000 0000 0000 and length to 0x0002 0000 0000. I choose Access ROM1 Address Space.

For power I have used original 100% charged battery and as well DC power supply set from 3.6 to 4.4 volts.

For the life in me I cannot get it to recognize the board. The board is not dead and turns on fine but has PIN enabled so my goal is to read dump to gain access of PIN.

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong. I have done everything even soldering wires directly but cannot read phone. Any help would be appreciated.

BR

Hi Legija, I never used Vcc to begin with or can you show me a diagram or picture. Any other ideas? Thank you.

Hi

ERROR: Set I/O Voltage to"value" failed. Real reading is "value".

Quote:
•Can happen due to following reasons:
•Connection with device is wrong
•Target device has developed hardware malfunction
•RIFF Box I/O voltage generator is malfunctioning
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

To properly diagnose root of the problem, do the following:

Disconnect ribbon cable from RIFF Box and press any function button. In case that box internal I/O voltage generator is malfucntioning, You'll receive same error:

Quote:
Connecting to the dead body...ERRORERROR: Set I/O Voltage to 2.80V failed. Real reading is 3.86V
-----------------------------------------------------------------
In case that box is okay, error will be gone:

Quote:
Connecting to the dead body...ERRORERROR: The RTCK Signal does not respond.

Yes, you are correct. With no cable attached I still have;

Open serial port...OK
Connecting to the RIFF Box...OK
Firmware Version: 1.32, JTAG Manager Version: 1.43
Selected Resurrector: [Samsung I9000 V1.00]

Connecting to the dead body...
ERROR: Set I/O Voltage to 2.80V failed. Real reading is 3.28V

So I guess my box's internal I/O voltage generator is malfunctioning and need to buy new box? Thank you for your response!

When I unplug USB and restart RIFF and press any button with no cable attach I get:

Open serial port...OK
Connecting to the RIFF Box...OK
Firmware Version: 1.32, JTAG Manager Version: 1.43
Selected Resurrector: [Samsung I9000 V1.00]

Connecting to the dead body...FAILED
None is detected.

Thanks but as I mentioned in my first post I need to dump my own phone as I want to retrieve the PIN from the phone without erasing data. Thanks though for your reply.

I have an update. I have on hand another i9000 board and a T959 which both share the same jtag pinout. I tried both boards and they all have the same I/O error so after some troubleshooting with different jigs, cables, computers, etc. I have come to he conclusion it's likely a faulty box. I will order a new box tonight and when I get it I'll try again.

Thanks for all your help.
Best Regards
