[ Question ] About Modem Part Repair !!!!

i am the user of riff box from last 3 years

and repaired a lot of phones Using Riff box

and Happy !!!!

But still not get Success to repair Modem part of any phone using riff box
i read all manual,s notes , about modem part but still not connect any phone yet , pda repair well
So will be good That if the Supporter of riff box make s spacial note for that
to repair modem part in easy steps hope the admin of this section well think about it , samsung i550w in my hand for repair mdm part

Samsung i550 Modem block has Qualcomm chipset. Its power is controlled by the PDA part, which is s OMAP 2430 Processor. Upon power-up the PDA tries to connect modem. If modem firmware is dead, then no response will be received, and after some time the PDA disconnects power from the Qualcomm chipset.

The PDA itself constantly displays Samsung logo.
Thus, just connecting to the Qualcomm JTAG will be not enough, since PDA will be constantly removing power from modem block.
Because of this, definite actions must be taken over PDA JTAG communication link: the PDA has to be told that it is not good to power off the modem part. Then it is ok to switch to modem JTAG connector and start the resurrection sequence.

So - PDA processor controls power for modem CPU. This is why You have to solder two cables, one to PDA pins, and second to Modem pins.

In first step, PDA is connected and halted, so it wont de-power the modem part. In second step, Modem part is repaired.

Important thing is, there must be no power disconnection or reset during this procedure.

And also be quick in time and need a little good luck. . . . :-D

i successfully repaired modem part of those phones, important thing is solder all the wires first, then change the cables without loosing power after halt the pda .
