RIFF HTC Incredible NAND Flash JTAG read

Model: ADR6300VW3
HTC: Incredible
Verizon

RIFF Box
JTAG Manager: Ver. 1.33
RIFF Box Firmware Version: 1.25

JTAG Pin Out confirmed with other operations.

Possible MSM8255 CPU??

Can DCC Read ROM 1 @ 512 MB for the RAM

HTC INcredible C ressurector installed.

Looking to read the NAND Flash at 8 GB?? IS this possible, and if so, what process do I need?

Thanks for response, can you point me in the right direction, I only found this for the Desire, does this apply for the Incredible?

Since HTC Desire HD is phone based on quite new CPU (MSM8255) and in some important features different from other HTC phones, I am opening special thread for discussion.

Before asking many questions, please take following in mind :

  • To use HTC Desire DLL, You need to update Your box firmware to 1.25, and JTAG Manager to 1.33
  • Some (or all) revisions of HTC Desire HD boards have JTAG interface disabled (that is enable MARM JTAG Fuse is ****n in the MSM8255 chip). In this case the JTAG may be enabled only by firmware itself. This is done by the FSBL loader.
Let me explain :
If by any case FSBL is deleted from phone memory, JTAG Access will be disabled, and You will not be able to do anything with phone for now. (CPU ID is detected, but connection will fail)

  • Connecting Desire HD with wires requires high level of skills, so we can recommend use of MultiCom made JIG. You can check it from here .

I am looking to recover the user data on the NAND 8GB memory, phone is damage and need data to put on new phone of same make and model. Can we read and write to this type of memory?

I see that we can read and write to the RAM area where the firmware resides.

Thanks again for your help.....

NAND size is 512MB, and what You want to do is to read ROM2 eMMC or iNAND.
If phone has $andi$k chip inside, that would be it.

DCC loader in this DLL does not support this kind of memory, since it isnt important in repair process.
