Member: 1777164 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Samsung Galaxy T959 Resurrection I have a hard-bricked T959. I connected the logic board to the riffbox, and successfully restored the bootloader with the JTAG manager software. I have a couple of questions because after putting the phone back together it doesn't turn on (as expected) 1) I am still waiting for my USB jiG to arrive in the mail. I tried to press volume-down and power in order to enter download mode, but that did not work. In it's current state, can this phone only enter download mode by using the USB jig? 2) In this video here, this user states that the JTAG manager software does not write the correct bootloader for the T959, so he used the i9000 setting instead. I used the T959 setting so I dont know if the phone is not entering download mode because I used the wrong setting. Should I re-connect the phone to the riffbox and use i9000 settings instead or just wait for my USB jig to arrive and see if that gets it into download mode? Thanks for all the help! I love this unit and it was really fun setting everything up and watching the software communicate with the NAND successfully. Here is a screenshot. |

Also is there any way at all to force download mode without the USB jig if I flash with T959V? What about if I flash with the i9000? Thanks again! Really appreciate the advice. |

Member: 1777164 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Can someone please help me. My USB JIG finally arrived in the mail today so I connected my T959 back to the riffbox in order to flash the T959v bootloader but I am now completely unable to initialize the body. My jtag points are soldered perfect and I have attached pictures for you to see. Sometimes the body is not detected at all but if I keep clicking the "resurrection" button, it sometimes finds the target but then fails to initialize the hardware. This is very depressing because I am very confident that I have completed all the necessary steps and now I am completely road blocked for what appears to be no reason. I have re-wired it about 10 times and tried just about every TCK speed possible. I had no problems at all resurrecting with T959 when I first connected it, and then I found out that the T959 is buggy and doesnt even work. Now I'm stuck. Please help :'( |

Member: 1777164 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Anyone? Someone must know what is going on here.. I'm willing to donate some money to anyone who can help me figure this out. It's very important to me as I have already invested in this equipment and I dont want it to be for nothing. The riffbox has done nothing for me as of yet. |

Member: 1777164 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Thanks for the comments. Just to reiterate; the riffbox has effectively KILLED this device by using the T959 resurrection DLL. If anyone is viewing this and attempting to resurrect their T959, do not use this file. Perhaps try the i9000 instead. I am incredibly disappointed in the riff box and the rocker team's neglect. I am not too sure what you mean by "pro droid tested in toronto..." I have ADB shell which I have used for HTC phones. Not sure if you are referring to something different. Quote:
I gave the phone back to the user. What a disappointment this product has been. The lack of support or horrendous. | ||
