Hi
First you need make sure about phone model...... some user have a different type of galaxy tab...like P1000N..P1000L...P100...I800...etc
-------------
Then,You Need Flash phone with latest 2.3.3 firmware...Also You Need Use "PIT" File..
p1000 Have a some Pit..So,You Need Check with all "Pit"
-------------
If still have a problem, Try This:

1-Erase Full Flash Size By RIFF-Box( It's 512MB)
2-Resurrect phone With Select All Other Option(Germlin-Recovery-Linux Kernel)
3-Flash phone by Odin..(You need 3 parts firmware + P1_add_Hidden.pit)..Don't Forget Checked "Repartition"
4-Repair EFS Content By Riff plugin or ADB Command
-----------
Or:
1-Erase full flash size
2-Write Good Working Dump File
3-Repair Imei

After writing dbdata.rfs.tar of course you must reflash phone normal way !

Means you have to have

- Files : Code, CSC & Modem
- Pgm : Odin3_v1.31.exe, file Odin3.ini & Pit.
- Driver : SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_v1.3.400.0.ex e

Settings as on the picture.

Of course Hardware must be good to succeed.

But if we say that your hardware is bad, arrogant people will edit my post again

Personnaly I don't think that overheating CPU could be fixed via software from start.

And all freezing at SAMSUNG logo phones I had were not SW faulty !

SAMSUNG freezed = Hardware fault

However if the blue line stops at initial, then you can try to fix boot.
But if set hanged without having played with, then hw is damaged.
