| Other Languages for MSM How to translate MSM into other languages ? This example is based on the translation eng > pl You will use POEdit Software Download Poedit from SourceForge.net Open file .po If you want latest ".po" file just contact with us on msm@martech.pl and we will send it to you. In first frame you have english word / phrase, below enter word in your language, and thats all. At this time is approximately 600 word / phrase to translate. Some comments 1. Do not translate: - "English" -> Englishman should see english rather than "angielski" 2. Do not touch: - if you don't edit poedit msgid "...."<-- this line stays untouched - things like %s %d %f must remain in the same place in text, there is no possibility of changing their order - %(name)s %(name)d %(name)f - do not translate this: "name" is a name of variable, if you change this to "nazwa" it will be bad, These tags can be rearrange the order, ie %(var1)s created %(var2)s you can translate that to: %(var1)s utworzył %(var2)s or also: %(var2)s zostało utworzone przez %(var1)s -<strong> <br> <p> itp, those are HTML insertions, Unfortunately not inevitable and left that the text has not lost its sense... %s dont not touch %(......)s dont not touch %(......)d dont not touch dont not touch = do not change that in this part, for example, if it were Witaj %(name)s, lalala... so after after translation it should be: Welcome %(name)s, lalala... %(name)s must remain untouched!, as it is, However you can shift its position in the translated item, so it may be: %(name)s wilkomen! these are special tags that will insert the value of these places The size of the letters is important too!! For example: Welcome should be Witaj not witaj or owner = wlasciciel not Wlasciciel CASE SENSITIVE. "Test" ≠ "test" |
