Member: 2587089 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | flashing different firmware into nokia 215 the nokia 216 phone has java, while the nokia 215 doesn't. by flashing my nokia 215 phone i hope to gain the java capabilities of the nokia 216. i don't care if i brick my phone, the nokia 215 is so cheap that it does not matter to me if i brick it. i don't even use the phone anymore, so i don't care if i brick it, and i will not blame anyone if it gets bricked in the process. i want to do this no matter what. i will take full responsibility for bricking my own phone. so is it possible to use BEST to flash my nokia 215 with a nokia 216 firmware? if so, please kindly let me know how to accomplish this. again i will not blame anyone for what happens. i just want to do this no matter what. atleast give me a chance and let me try, PLEASE! thanks for letting me know! |

Nokia 216 based on Infineon Xgold CPU and propietary Nokia Os, while nokia 215 based on cheap MediaTek 6260 platform and propietary ThreadX os, which nowdays have no any extended Java features. You cant flash image, because they completely different at all, from cpu to flash ic and rest things. |

Member: 2587089 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | i bought two nokia phones (Nokia215/Nokia220) to play java games like Doom RPG, but both of those phones turn out to have no support for java. (i was not made aware of this fact prior to buying the phones due to scarcity of information on the internet at the time) i've heard that the Nokia 216 has java support but no one could tell me for sure if it can run Doom RPG on it or not. the thing is, if the nokia 216 can indeed run doom rpg, i'd buy it in a heartbeat, but i don't want to get duped again like what happened before with the Nokia215/Nokia220, so that's why i was so obsessed with wanting to flash those two crappy phones with different firmwares. well, thank you so much for letting me know, i guess me and java are not meant to be after all, oh well....
