Scroll to navimanager, and download the appropriate flashfile for your device by means of the product code, which can be found under the battery...
Write the firmware, and Tick "Erase User Data"..

No do not Update the Nv files..Not necessarily
Yes, select 8/10.xx, then pick up your model from the drop-down list..
Follow the software instructions..
