Use this, if you need get access to user data (Gallery, PhoneBook, e.t.c.)
If you not interested in user data inside data - just Flash with WIPE or e.t.c. and not lost time for this way.
Install BEST 1.56

1. Open NTab
2. Press Connect/Info button
3. Connect Powered Off phone
4. When BEST found it - Press "RecBoot" button.
5. Wait a little. When BEST done operation - Phone will power on.
6. Wait near minute. Phone will be now in storage mode. Copy needed data to pc.

After phone repair - reflash it with WIPE option to make device working well.
This option allow copy data from partially SW damaged and, in some cases, from HW damaged (If APE alive) MeeGo phones.

Thread named USer Data , not repair imei - N900 can lost imei by downgrade and HW fault (CMT) - if not help latest FW flashing - resolder it.

I dont understand how to read phonebook ? :

PC suite shows phone conected in not compatible mode

Hello.
Phone was with lock code, right?
Unplug cable, press power on.
After phone will bootup - insert cable, select sync mode, connect with PCsuite, backup all.
Or, other way - Go to settings - Sync - Make Backup.
After copy from memory - .Backup/ folder data.
Reflash phone.
Back files to phone, but only needed sub (inside backup - much zip , which consist exactly named info - settings, phonebook, e.t.c.)

I tried on display-Dead N900... I can connect in Nolo-Mode like software requests on "Connect/Info"... but I can`t hit "RecBoot"... it`s grey?

I can even connect in normal Flashmode... but how can I recover data that way?!
