Phone will be recovered fully ONLY, when operation will be fully finished.

Again : it will be null, until you not finish procedure.
Recommend you remove ancient windows xp. And install normal Win7. All will work then without any problem.

Solutions are two :

1. Find clean Win7 PC and do all again. But install driver correctly after first step.
2. Wait until new release or beta. Can improve SW for such cases.

Sure, you can still stupidly press repair again and again, until phone will not burn in hell fire.
