stupid questions about Best - GSM-Forum

I've been using Infinity for some time now (several years). I have used Best to calculate HASH files for bruteforcing. Today I decided to unlock Lumia 520 RM-914. For the first time

I connect ok as a W10/W8 Lumia phone.
If I click on "direct unlock" THe soft tells me to "enter Test Mode"
If I click on "Test Mode" the soft claims to enter test mode, the phone restarts, then the software dims out and shows "not responding"
if I unplug the phone the software brightens up!
Have I missed something? or is this normal?
Is there a manual somewhere that I can read to give me a better understanding?

try to use latest best software version 2.29 then do configure for lumia device
