If you read log - you will see where is problem.
If not want see this feature - Settings - Version Check off

brother you select lower version.latest version is 8.71 you try this version your problem solved

I'm having the same problem. A device X2-01 RM-709 called again to apply the firmw 08.71, but she has no language in PT-BR. I need to downgrade because of language. I marked off the option for Version Check, but still without success .. anyone have any tips for this problem?!

Here in my unit used the firmware 08.71 and 08.70 PPM file to keep the language needed. It worked!
