how to flash mstar based phone - GSM-Forum

did anyone succed to flash mstar phone? i cannot connect to phone, tried c4-03, 6700tv, 6800. tried via cable, no luck, tried to solder wires to rx-tx points at mainboard, no luck. i need step by step manual how to flash these phones. video provided in tutorial link explains nothing

sorry for late and welcome back , yeah we have a lot of video manual how to find pinouts and how to work on master chip you can get all video,s + manual for stikcy thread

i saw that video million times, it explains NOTHING.

i read info using gpg freeware, "external connector info" using p-10c connector and tv 6700 rh-13 mobile. it shows as following:

Charge termipoint detection guide
1ЈєPlease analyse the External connector first(connect it with the crocodile clips)
2ЈєAfter the analysis, remove the clips and fix the battery in
3ЈєSet the charge pin according to the short-circuit pin, and pay attention to the phone info.
It is analyzing the External connector, please wait...
******Auto analysis has been completed******
VCC=
GND=2,
Signal=1,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,
NC=3,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,
Important: Most charge termipoints are the pins in short.
Don't go on the next step until you have fixed the battery in.

next i run "definition set" and press voltage, on turned off phone. only 10pin shows 0.1v, all other are 0.0. on turned ON phone there are lots of signal pins

how to know which is rx-tx, which is usb d-, usb d+? how to set up correct pinout? i tried in different combinations, only

at last i have found correct pinout, now phone detects by system and new device h: appears. but dragon does not detect it, it only shows

and nothing more. how to solve that? i disassembled the phone, cpu is msw8533c, it is supported by dragon. how to connect?

Open your freeware software

1st_Step.....Open scan option then connect your mobile with cable.

2nd_step.....select your phone chip mtk,mstar etc.(if you don't know that what kind of chip is this ,then select auto & scan it.)

3rd_step.....After this, It will sens your device & when your mobile become connect it will tell you the rx,tx,vcc & also gnd.

Now you can set it manually at definition set.

software detects cpu as mtk, but inside my phone is msw8533, and it cannot connect to it.

how does it can help? i have found working pinout, phone is detected by windows, my computer detects new drive h:. but software DOES NOT read flash, info, it does not connect to phone. just hangs on this:

how to make it work? do i have to install some special driver instead of driver installed by windows? dragon team, i am really tired for asking help for 2 MONTH and still no answer and no solution. you do not respect your customers?

For mstar You need download gpgdragon last Firmware
GPGDragon Firmware 1.58E.rar
is easy do it
run gpgdragon Ver 2.10
select CPU to Mstar
Select Boot to 8533C
connect Mobile with Dragon cable also Box to Mobile bettery Pin connect
click Start Button

Software tip You hold the Power key(Please Don't hold it)
cause is Before old firmware need,but after 1.58Firmware no need

******Auto analysis has been completed******
