How to know which chip to select?

Am still little confused here.Please if somebody give me phone to flash,unlock or repair must I loose the phone to know which chip inside?Like now I have PEL C5,how will I know which ship to select for work since is only by chip and no model selection?

thanks so far but it have not yet work for me and i don't understand what you mean by freeware tool plz help me with download link,because I click on free tool on software and didnt see where to get mobile model.

And if I click on flash,it says set path first.

So now what I need is,
-How to know the flash chip inside from phone models,[link of software if any or just name ,I can Google it]
-How to set flash file path,
-Where to download files,
-On this my case now,what is the problem and how to solve it[I mean the log above]
