Hey, the config is very very very simple!
simple computer, one simple mainboard with two (2) PCIexpress 16x port!
no need super processor (simple core2duo 2.0 its enougth), no need more than 2/4gb of ram because it does not matter!
what it matters is the 1 or 2 ATI hd 5970 graphic cards and a power supply 800w or better because each graphic card will need ~400w each

Of course you could build better pc but only i7 processor will make the difference! below i7 its all the same (i5, i3, core2duo all same as it does not offer more power to the BF). use windows 7 as the Operating System!

That i don't know but it does not make a huge diference (maybe more 5% power?? need confirmation on any benchmark someone have already done!). the important thing are the graphic cards! if you have a simple computer with 2 PCIexpress 16x each just buy the cards! no need to spare more money! if buy a new system don't buy SIS chipset on the mainboard, only INTEL or VIA! that will make a diference too! no need a 200 dolar mainboard, no need a 300 dolar processor, only important the PowerSuplyUnit (PSU) with 800w or more and the 2 ATI , preferably the HD 5970! obviously all latest software: windows 7 and 10.6 ati drivers that are the best for the GPUhashcalc or any hashcalculator that use gpu

keep in mind that cooling the graphic cards is important if you make an overclock! and probably, by making a overclock on the ATI cards it is going to be same as no overclock + i7 processor! careful on the amount of overclock your doing, if so! can not help with that too, sorry!

edit:there is no time prediction for one sl3 handset! as u start the calc it can imediatly find the code, it can also find the code at 50% or at 99%. this can happen on both random or linear! it simply is not predictable! this is the idea i have! as i use to say, please correct me if i am wrong on any thing i wrote!

Happy sha1calc!

Max time for each card is written in 100+ posts. Best for use is Linux (because of 1-5% CPU usage). i7 or any other is no important, as it's not used.
