Any way to check how healthy is the EMMC using Medusa? [Answered]

Hi there,

Is there any way to check how healthy is the EMMC using Medusa box?
Or perhaps based on experience, the access speed, voltage or anything can be used as indicators?
Sometimes on chip-off or direct the emmc, it reads good but still not working on the phone..

Thanks

Hi.

If this is Samsung eMMC, You can try to perform "SMART Report" and lock at count of bad blocks. For other brands no special solution; as partial solution, You can try to write big file and read it out, then compare in hex editor. If file, which was read out, will be the same as written file (without any changes), most likely, You can use this eMMC.

Also You can use "Write data verification" option in the Software. This option also detects an errors with writing/reading data on eMMC.
