LG V10 VS990 Repaired [Answered]

Hey,

A customer gave me his LG V10 to repair network problems.

I knew the phone is refurbished, The software version is H901 while the Phone PCB is VS990, Accidentally I flashed the phone with Latest H90021w firmware,

The Phone is in a working condition, but there is numerous problems, like security settings doesn't work, network ....

Then I realized I made a mistake , it should be a Verizon VS990 firmware flashed on the Phone not a H900 firmware, So I tried with VS990 KDZ firmware, Whenever I flash a version, The Phone goes back to Qualcomm Mode, I tried with most of VS990 firmwares but Phone keeps dying.

The only firmware he accepts is H90021w which has so many problems as mentioned before.

After a little digging, I found that the latest version of H900 which is H90021w has an AntiRollback version = 2 while the latest version of VS990 has an AntiRollback version = 1.
So is there anyway I could fix this miserable problem?
If I do Full erase feature on Medusa Then flash with latest VS990 kdz, Will that work?

Hello.

Unfortunately, no solution on how to downgrade bootloaders version and full erasing will no help to solve the problem.

You can try to write V30x firmware for H901 (http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f664...l#post12776707), maybe this will help, but note, writing not compatible firmware version may lead to damage the device, so write firmware at your own risk.

I tried before with H901 v30, but no luck, I think the only solution is to wait for update from Verizon with an AntiRollback >= 2, What do you think?

Yes, also You can try to find the same device, update it via OTA to the latest firmware version, read out full flash and write this full flash into your device.
