Nexus 4 stuck on google splash screen [Answered]

Hello everyone I got a nexus 4 e960 that is stuck on the Google splash screen. It never boots up. Is it possible to repair the emmc via jtag without losing data? How can I accomplish this?

This can be HW or Software problem. At first, try to put the phone into Download (Emergency) Mode manually. If the phone goes into DM, try to re-flash it (write all partitions without userdata to save original data on the phone). If the phone doesn't go into DM, try to connect it via USB. If the phone will be connected successfully, post here full Software log, we will check it and advise You, what to do the next.

To connect the device via eMMC, do the following:

1. Install the latest version of Medusa Pro Software (http://medusabox.com/eng/download/software).
2. Select "USB" option in Software.
3. Select "Brand: Custom Settings".
4. Select "Device (Core): APQ8064".
5. Select "Loader: Loader : LG_loader_v1".
6. Put the phone into "Qualcomm...9008" Mode. If necessary, use this Test Point:

7. Press "Connect" button to connect the device.
8. When device will be connected successfully, post here full Software log.
