Question about boot mode [Answered]

Hello Team,

Its possible an device works with the configuration boot;

Partition config : (0x00) 00000000
Boot partition enable : Device not boot enabled (default) (Bus width = 1Bit)

The second line says (default).

Thank you.

Yes, of course, this is possible, that device works with such partition config settings. This depends on device model - some devices boot form "User Parition Area" (most of LG devices), some boot from "Boo1 Parition Area" (MediaTek CPU-based devices and most Samsung devices).

"Device not boot enabled" means, that device boots from "User Parition Area", not from "Boo1 Parition Area".

If You change eMMC chip, You should always set correct "Partition config" value - the same, as was on the original eMMC, when device was working. That's why we upload "Live Log" (text file with correct device connection info, which contains also necessary "Partition config" settings) together with SRF (Smart Repair File) into the Support Area.

So, what is the difference between Boot partition enable (Device not boot enabled and Boot partition enable User area, if Devise not boot Default it looks for boot in User Area.
Both are the same?

Did you understand my question?

Similar, but different bit values. More info You can read from official JEDEC eMMC specification:
