Is that maybe something to do with with which version of the software I'm using the earlier one doesn't read the cable and the newer one does but says it needs the dongle as well but seems to half work?

i too am experiancing the same problem, gold card says created but it doesnt find any files when phone checking ????

Same here.I have tried green and red cable to unlock wildfires but both of them not working. It says gold card created ok but nothing in the card. Please advise when it is gonna be fixed.

i have no cables now for test but someone told me he try on v3.03 and successfully unlock wildfire s so please try with v3.03.

One more important thing is make sure to use latest EXE 3.04

And make sure to select correct model

=================UNLOCK==================

IMPORTANT: NO NEED USE GOLDCARD BUTTON FOR UNLOCK!

1. Insert SDCARD in HXC PRO CABLE
2. Select PHONE MODEL in soft
3. If phone it's ANDROID need to connect phone to computer by usb
4. Press FULL UNLOCK!
5. When soft show "WAITING FOR S58" take SDCARD out from HXC PRO CABLE and put sdcard inside phone
4. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS WHAT SOFT WILL SHOW!

hope next update include step by step procedure on how to do unlocking on each phone whether goldcard creation needed or not.

step 1- step 5 is fine but once I insert the memory card I got error msg like this

Get OEMSBL time out
Pls chk security flag
press VOLDN to exit

I pressed voldn everything seems to fine till end but phone still remain locks.

Press Vol Down Software Start then you got s58 clear option.

yes I did press s58 clear option but after that phone still locks.

For WildFireS phone must be always in horizontal mode
