Root Guides For Hxc Dongle Users.

How To Root One V

[INSTRUCTIONS]:

[Prerequisites:]


HTC Sync (Windows Only)

HTC Super Tool

r1-primo-superboot.zip

Enable USB Debug
Use Charge Only mode when connected to PC
Exit HTC Sync on PC


[Steps:]

1. Go to HTCDEV website: HTCdev - Unlock Bootloader
2. Click on "Begin Unlock Bootloader" (create a user if you don't have one)
3. Use HTC Super Tool in the [Prerequisites] to generate your token. (Or, alternatively, follow the instructions step 1 through step 10 on htcdev.com)
4. In step 10, when posting your token, make sure you remove the blanks preceding each line
5. After you receive your Unlock_code.bin in email, follow step 11.
6. Now your One V should reboot and you have your bootloader
unlocked.


[Root Steps:]

Switch off your HTC One V.

Reboot your HTC One V into Bootloader Mode by pressing the Volume Down key and Power button simultaneously until Bootloader Mode boots.

Select Fastboot from the Bootloader Menu.
Connect your HTC One V to the computer via USB cable. The Bootloader screen should say “FASTBOOT USB.”

Go to the r1-primo-superboot folder and double-click the install-superboot-window.bat file. This will automatically start the rooting process.
Once the rooting process is complete, your HTC One V will automatically reboot.

After complete boot, go to the app drawer. Tap the SuperSU icon and update the SU binary to the latest version.

Congratulations! You have successfully rooted your HTC One V

Root Droid Incredible With Hboot 1.02.0000

[INSTRUCTIONS]:

[Prerequisites:]
HTC Sync (Windows Only)
Su Zip
ADB Fastboot
CWM Recovery
HBOOT Drivers
Enable USB Debug
Use Charge Only mode when connected to PC
Exit HTC Sync on PC

[Steps:]
1. Head over to HTC Dev HTCdev - Unlock Bootloader
2. Create a account or sign in (you must use your real email address)
3. Go to unlock bootloader
4. Select “HTC DROID INCREDIBLE*”
5. Follow the directions and install all the software provided and you will end up with a unlocked bootloader with s-on. Save a copy of the unlock_code.bin to your pc, so you have it after dooing the froyo ruu.
6. Enter FASTBOOT again on your phone
7.Open the command prompt again on your pc to where adb.exe is. (ie. C:\android-sdk\platform-tools or C:\adb
8. place CWM Recivery it in the same folder as fastboot (where you put unlock_code.bin ie. C:\adb)
9. for simplicity’s sake rename the above file to recovery.img if it doesn’t already save it as recovery.img.
10. In your command prompt navigate to the folder containing your fastboot files and recovery.img
11. Enter the following in the command prompt: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
12. Once that completes navigate to recovery on your phone and press power to select it
13. Once CWM recovery boots on your phone use the volume up and down to pick Mounts and storage press the trackball to select it
14. Select Mount usb storage
15. Take Su zip and drag it to the root of your SD card.
16. On your phone press the trackball to unmount your usb storage
17. Select go back
18. Select install zip from SD card
19. Choose zip from sd card
20. Select the su.zip file we just downloaded and press power to flash
21. Reboot the phone
22. Once your phone is booted go to the market and search superuser
23. Download and install superuser
24. Search busy
25. Use one of the busybox installers and install busybox (hit allow on the su notification)
26. Enter superuser, press the menu button on your phone, select preferences, then scroll down to su-binary
27. Hit update, and allow the prompt, if all the output is in green then you have full root congrats!!!

ROOT Flyer+View

Supported HBoot Details:

HTC View (express) 1.09.0000 and 1.13.0000
HTC Flyer (flyer) 1.10.0000 and 1.11.0003


[INSTRUCTIONS]:

[Prerequisites:]
Read documentation
Uninstall HTC Sync.
Install these fastboot drivers
su-3.0-beta4-efgh-signed.zip
USB Debugging Should be On.

[steps:]
1.Phone Should be in normal mode now not in fastboot or in any other mode.

2.Connect the device via USB.

3.Got to the revolutionary website and select the download for your platform (Windows or Linux ) do not enter anything in the form and do not close the page.

4.Run the application to get your serial number it will be something like HTCXXXXXX

5.Go back to the webpage and enter the details required on the form to get your KEY.
Note: If you have a flyer select Flyer, if you have a View select Express

6.Copy and Paste the beta key back to the application and press return. If you don't know how to paste,visit the site.

7.Follow the on screen instructions.

If you see this message:
SUCCESS - Life gave us lemons, we didn't make lemonade!
then S-OFF has been successful,Even CWM.

Note:If you did not download CWM as part of the process or it failed to download, then get it from xda.

[For Root:]
Copy su-3.0-beta4-efgh-signed.zip to your sdcard root
Start clockworkmod recovery bye vol down+power select recovery.
Select "install zip from sdcard"
Then select "Choose zip from sdcard"
Then select "su-3.0-beta4-efgh-signed.zip"
Then select "Yes - install su-3.0-beta4-efgh-signed.zip" to confirm
Then go back
Then reboot.
You're rooted!

if you get an error "Status 0" when installing the SU zip file, immediately retry 99% of the time that works.

If you can't get CWM on view to see the su zip file.

Open the lid and put an SD card in your flyer/view. It does open - it's just difficult and there is an SD slot.

Alternatively Follow the instructions here but DO NOT DO STEP 1.
